2. How many guests can Sunhaven accommodate?

Our beach house comfortably sleeps up to six guests across three generous bedrooms (four beds). With an open plan layout and private pool, it’s ideal for families, couples or groups looking to relax in a spacious tropical setting.

4. Is Sunhaven a beachfront property?

Sunhaven isn’t directly on the sand, but the beach and esplanade are only a short 5-minute walk away. You can stroll to the water’s edge, enjoy ocean-view dining and explore the tropical charm of Palm Cove’s village with ease.

5. How do I get to Sunhaven?

We’re a 25-minute drive from Cairns Airport, easily accessible by taxi, hire car or airport transfer. Detailed directions and arrival information are sent prior to your stay.

6. Can I book directly, and will I save?

Yes. When you book direct through our website, you’ll receive the best available rate, no booking fees, and direct contact with our local hosts at Cozie Homes.

7. How do check-in and check-out work?

Check-in is from 3 pm, and check-out is by 10 am. You’ll receive detailed arrival instructions before your stay. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request and subject to availability.

8. Is Sunhaven suitable for families?

Absolutely. Families love our family-friendly design with open spaces, safety features, and amenities for children. We provide toys, games, and optional baby equipment. The single-level layout and fenced pool area make it easy for everyone to relax. (Please note: children must always be supervised around the pool.)

9. Is Sunhaven Palm Cove dog-friendly?

Yes. We welcome one small, house-trained dog (up to approximately 10kg) per stay.

If you're planning to travel with your dog, please let our managers know at the time of booking. A pet fee applies, and all dog stays are subject to our pet house rules to help ensure Sunhaven remains comfortable and enjoyable for all guests.

As with every stay, the home is professionally cleaned before each arrival, with additional cleaning undertaken after dog-friendly bookings to maintain the high standards our guests expect.

10. Do you accept relocation or insurance stays?

Yes. Sunhaven is well suited to longer stays for guests relocating, renovating, completing insurance repairs, or requiring temporary accommodation during unexpected events. The home offers the comfort and practicality needed for extended stays, including a full kitchen, laundry, fast Wi-Fi, multiple living spaces, private pool, and a peaceful residential setting close to the Palm Cove Esplanade. 16. Is the pool heated?

While our private plunge pool is designed for tropical comfort all year round, it is not heated. Palm Cove generally enjoys a warm climate year-round, making the pool perfect for cooling off in the summer or a refreshing dip during the mild dry season if you don’t mind it cooler.

17. Do you provide beach towels or pool toys?

Yes. Sunhaven is stocked with pool toys and beach towels so you can pack light and dive straight into holiday mode. You’ll also find board games, books, and a few surprises for the kids.

18. Is there parking at the property?

Yes. There is a private garage and additional free street parking available. You’ll find it easy to park and unpack right by the front door.

19. Do you provide a BBQ or outdoor dining area?

25. Do you have accessibility features?

Sunhaven is a single-level home, making it easy to access for most guests. While it’s not fully wheelchair accessible, there are no stairs inside and minimal thresholds throughout the home. 26. Do you offer accommodation for locum doctors or medical professionals working in Cairns?

Yes. Sunhaven may suit locum doctors, visiting specialists and other medical professionals looking for a comfortable longer-term base while working in Cairns.
